Continuing a transformation that began in early 2009, Lifetime Products is learning lean principles under MEP’s tutelage and making incremental, yet dramatic changes through company. In August of 2009, a team of Lifetime employees took and passed the lean Bronze Certification at Utah State University.
After implementing Lean principles, Lifetime has already cut 25 percent of finished inventory over 2008. More than 787 “Kaizens” (employee-suggested process improvements) have been submitted; with 424 currently being implemented. Setting company sights on the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing, Hendrickson continues to drive Lifetime Products forward learning the most up-to-date practices and striving for continuous improvement.
